You no longer want to have to trade your time for the money as you said you just want to have that time Go into the source of what you value the most you want money to be an exclusion from that You don't even want to have to think about money anymore.

So that's where we're thinking about finite being financially free How do we then get to that stage where money is no longer an issue and we can realistically focus on trading our time For things which we value most Hey everybody. I hope you're all doing well.

Welcome to talking to my thoughts Where we have open honest and raw conversations about what our thoughts Topics will range from anxiety life goals relationship money work everything that runs through our head So, you know the possibilities are endless You're here with craig revere aka. Mr. Positive. You're here with kevin kevin kev Kevin kev Sj Cool all these new these aka's out here.

So today today we are talking about Is money everything I don't even know what to say straight away. Like is money everything to me? No, i'm just gonna say no straight money is not everything money. Everyone thinks money goes makes the world go around but To me it doesn't people do That's my part straight away.

I'm just gonna say that's Um for me, I would say that money and straight all things um, which is kind of tie into what you're saying in terms of um with People in that respect but you being around people still has some form of level in terms of you needing um money cool, um I don't think money's everything I think money is A tool that can be used to um Obviously provide the things that you need in life, I guess so We'll kind of yeah, we'll we'll get into it a bit deeper when we obviously cover our our voice notes But um, that's my my first little bit of chip in on that.

No, it's good So actually we're in a case where all of us are in the same room where we all feel money isn't everything um There's probably a lot of other people that feel very differently They feel that the money makes the world go around. That's what we was maybe putting this stuff to do, etc, etc um, and those are all valid as well.

We all we always want to hear everybody's opinions and um, so if you do ever have any different thoughts about it, make sure to Drop us a comment share like And tell us your thoughts about it and email it to us after you listen to this podcast though Because you're going to want to hear what we have to say so as you know we go through the concept of Literally talking to our thoughts where we would pre record um Us talking about the subject to ourselves and the reason why we do that is because how we speak to ourselves is very different To how we speak to other people How we speak to ourselves is usually unfiltered very messy crazy at times, but That's just how we think so we like to let people listen to it and then we will Get into it straight afterwards.

So simon you can kick off with yours first and let's go I got my mind on my money. I'm a money on my mind jeez The money mindset This is something that In my mind has evolved But it's always been present always had that focus since young of I need to be financially stable.

I'm not trying to get rich I'm not even trying to get wealthy for me being rich doesn't mean I have a lot of money for me richness comes from The value of your life like what you have around you your people your family But when it comes to money, it's always about being smart Being financially stable thinking about the long game thinking about the future i've always been like that I try not when I was a kid and I used to get pocket money.

I wouldn't even spend a penny of that I'd always try and think of a way To get someone else to spend their money on me so that I could save my money but then still have The things that everybody else has I would save that pocket money making sure okay if i'm gonna buy something I need to know that that thing that i'm buying is gonna be of value It's not something that is just gonna be a buy and it's just gone in within two minutes Always always always how do I make a bit more money?

What's the end goal? What do I want to do? And I live by that as I said it's evolved and i've learned from it i've understood how money works a little bit more Taking the time obviously once I started working and earning money now the first thing I started doing Saving Again thinking about the end game. What do I want to do with this money now that i'm working?

I want to move out so I now got put money aside to find a place I've got kids. I've got to make sure I support them.

I've got to put food on the table put clothes on their back I want to go on holiday or I want to do this But I never got caught up in there Spending the money because I want to look flashy or copying what everyone else is copying and doing what everyone else is doing It's like do I need to be going out every friday night? Spending money on drinks. I don't even drink alcohol. Why am I spending money on drinks for?

Do I really need to buy a new pair of trainers? You know those little things making that sacrifice That's my money mindset It's just about being smart I understand Money is a tool now But money doesn't grow on trees what you earn Then has to be put back into something which is going to be of value to you.

That's how I see it so if it's not of value to me and it's not something that I realistically cannot afford and by saying it I can't afford it a lot of people think of How they afford it in different ways because some people can think ah, well I've got a hundred pound in the bank That cost a hundred pound I can afford it Whereas I'm like I cost a hundred pound.

I've got a hundred pound in the bank I could buy it, but I can't afford it Really and truly I can afford it if I've got 300 pounds in the bank because then I still have 200 pounds left Just in case I need to spend it on something else That's how I see it And a lot of people don't have that mindset, which is why a lot of people may be financially struggling And it's important that we educate our kids, especially in today's age where economy is going mad You got to think about having not just one job, but two jobs these days just to be stable Where's that money coming from?

What's the side hustle? Where's that money coming from? What's the side hustle? So we need to stop because I didn't get that education.

I had to learn that So it's important that we teach our kids that as well Right, I'm gonna kick this off first because I know I'm personally personally, but you've been an old man from time, you know Like I said, I'm gonna spend other people's money keep mine a key part about it though usually with hustlers They often want to hustle and they want to spend their money They almost hustle so they can spend more you was hustling so you can just keep more funny enough That was actually quite an interesting part about it.

There's so many other pieces to it That was one of the key pieces that I saw but actually later on I actually decided to see more of like When do you ever get to spend your money to have fun with it? Do you is there certain things? What are your vices?

Like, you know, there's everyone has sat in maybe mine might be Um clothes or going since i said lucia's not really a that's more of an investment but What is your vice like there must be something that would make you want to spend more money as well As like something that you you know, it doesn't really give you necessarily value But you know, it gives you a little bit of joy.

I enjoy that I like Yeah, I have those I have those little moments, but I mean as you said i've been old from young in it So my mindset is always It's driven by what I can achieve down the line like what's my end goal like as I said thinking about I want to move out. I want to do this. I want to do that.

I want to have a family and rent it here So those things are not cheap Purchases those things don't aren't just little things that you can just spend on So those are the things that I've always thought when i'm making this little bit of money I need to put that aside so that I can then find that or feel that Now there are those little things obviously when you're young like things that I need even if it's I need a new pair of clothes I'll go out and buy it or if I need to have or even those times because for me value comes with Again, you know, i'm a family person in this it's about spending time as well So it's not just about spending money but spending time Sometimes if it's like, okay The family's going out somewhere or we're going we're all going on a family holiday Those are the little things i'll spend money on that.

It's going to bring me joy because it's not really The holiday Itself, that's giving me that joy. It's actually me spending that time with my family. So For me, if i'm honest the things that give me a lot of joy don't really cost me a lot of money it's more so as I said, it's all about my family values just the time is is the most important thing for me and and Sometimes you can't always put a price on that.

It's just it is what it is, isn't it? Those little other things I don't even really consider them to be Things that I would even focus on in terms of what am I spending on to to feel happy about myself?

Like I don't know I buy an xbox or something or when I was young I bought a game cube or I bought a game boy Or whatever like eventually those things kind of wear off because after a while and i've realized this as I grew older as well Is that those things that you spend on which you think are giving you joy are just they're quite temporary as well Like and as I said, my joy comes from My time with people that I love Which doesn't really cost anything so Yeah to be I don't know if I answered your question where you're saying what what are the things that you spend your money on to Give you joy But my joy doesn't come from spending money on things like going out and drinking or whatever You did you did answer the question The whole point was for me to I think especially some people that have like a older mindset or a hustler mindset from like young It can often be a case where they almost always see life as hustling all the time They almost never see the other side to actually okay to just Have some fun But as you said actually the things you you have identified the things that you enjoy the most don't actually cost you much And yeah, just the other things that you may have spent your money on are kind of temporary So you don't actually have to put much money into it, which is quite a key part and I the one key question I have for you before I pass that kev like interject on that is like If you didn't have to work and you didn't have a problem with money, what would you do If I didn't have to work and I didn't have and I had I didn't have to think about money whatsoever.

What would you spend it on? Are you talking about my time board? I spent my time. Yeah, it's like they had the bundles of money What would you spend in that spending it on then? If i'm honest and i've said this a lot to be fair even like it will probably be a similar thing But I said if I won the lottery and I won like 120 million pound, what would I do right now?

and the and i've said this a lot of times i'm not even going back on it is that Probably the first thing i'll do is just make sure that me and my family is secure So that's whether it's looking at housing making sure that everyone's got their own property Like everyone's got a bit enough money in the bank so that they're they're stable and they can do what they need to do Everyone's got enough money to feed themselves to clothe themselves go on holiday.

Whatever. I know for a fact I'm gonna have a lot left probably majority that i'll put towards investments and charity Simple so I make sure my family's taken care of the rest are put into investments and the rest i'll give to charry I don't need as I said for me.

I don't need to be Rich to have a good life It's all about just making sure that you're stable enough that you can do the things that you want to do If I get to a point where I don't even have to worry about money or I don't need I've won a lottery and i've got all this money that I don't need.

I'll honestly i'll give it to the people that do need it That's that's what I'll do Yes, that's a very core value that you've had for a long time, which is Obviously just driven the rest of your life. So that's good. Go on Okay You can basically comment on anything you feel anything you know from the voice note. What do you think? um For me in terms of when it comes to money mindset, right?

I might be devils advocate here. Um again Um is is how you've been brought up in that respect? I would say is how we've all more or less been been brought up and the number one thing is is lack of Education which we've highlighted earlier um, and for me money mindset is more or less that you Is is your attitude is that overriding attitude that you have towards money and and and understanding the the key?

um Principles which is going to require for you to actually make certain decisions now you said earlier in the sense of um, you know, um Money don't um, what was your statement? You said money don't grow on money. Not so much of money don't grow on tree But it's more the case of money is not everything in that respect But you also alluded to you saying that oh, um for me, it's not always about money.

It's about time but When you're given that time in some respect, um indirectly you're actually still spending money So you would by default still need to have some form of money for you to actually Spend time with your family. So the end goal like you're saying is for you to then be stable, right? What is the number one thing that we all desire in life? Is it not income for the future? Right.

So what are we going to be working for you've you've you've highlighted you mentioned it Um, you know many a times. Oh, this is my goal. This is my goal So, okay, your goal is going to require what is it not money?

right, so Again, it's all about these key disciplines that you will need to then put in place in order for you to then get there But for me, I would still draw it down to that money and thread All the things regardless of how you put in For me if to say I know I want to spend more time How am I going to spend more time?

Obviously if i'm working on the nine to five um, i'm not going to get that time, you know to actually spend with my Um loved ones are the ones that I claim that I love in that respect So that is going to have me then start thinking differently to say, okay What can I do? Um, do I need to then start up a business?

Do I need to kind of readjust the type of um work that i'm doing so it allows me to then acquire a bit more time But not losing the funds that I was already Having so I mean this this is the balance here in in in in in that sense But um that that's just my thoughts on on it So i'm glad you said because I didn't want to say it as a third point because I would take up the whole time I was the the part that I saw from simon was Well from the voice note was that you wasn't necessarily talking about freedom in any sense You actually never you almost just accepted that this is this is what life will be and you just need to be stable when I say enough You never actually talked about being free from a job or free from working Which would mainly require you to accumulate a lot of money to then be free Um in a sense you actually just but then that's why actually the whole lottery talks about the lottery part Which is then that is freedom.

So sometimes I always try to question That was that is your end goal. That is your like your utopia. No, even though it's not a real utopia. That's your utopia Let's work backwards. How could you work to that utopia? What could that how could that be real and that's how I like to see it because everyone likes it Oh, that's that's not realistic. Like what would you mean can't work and stuff like that?

There's people out here. That's not working. Yeah legit There's people out here not working and they just live in with more time if time is the key component What are you doing to make it more of it? But that actually kind of interjects back into my voice recording So let's get into that straight away and then we will kind of let's put this all together And then we'll get like a bit of what how does kev see?

money kev kev See money, so we're gonna get straight into the recording Wait, is money everything? Or is it not? Hell no, man To me money definitely isn't everything and the way I treat it same way when I first started doing Like working I actually started working.

I was 21 I had the opportunity to be able to go for a uni, etc and When I actually started working I was already saving straight away my parents had already built their house in st Lucia So for me, I already knew I was going to be moving out from the time I started working I think we all know we're going to move out someday what we want to but I was already intentionally working towards it I was able to buy my property.

Well after the first two years saved 20 grand And was able to buy my first property, but I didn't I just rented it instead. Um just to learn how to work with bills Then at the age of 26, I was able to buy a property properly, which is what i'm in now Um But that's just for intention and then from there I was I was I worked as a web developer I did 40 to 60 hours. I enjoyed it I just killed it with work.

I probably saved about 50 to 75 percent of my paycheck. Those were good days where But then I I kind of sacrificed my life But I didn't see it as a sacrifice at all It was like an intention and then everything was going towards that by the time I bought my property Then I started to take a bit more of a relax on money So I used to say, you know what? How about I try to live a little bit more?

See a bit more friends spend a bit more Go and see a few things today I'm blessed with the ability to go to contract and go on holidays as long as five weeks to st Lucia multiple times Money just comes and goes, you know I never really seen in money is like, oh, this is what this is what our life is supposed to be about like earning paper.

That's Stupid Money's just a system just like everything else that's around us. It's just systems.

What is real is us We're alive as people Experiences I always say to people That when you're like on your deathbed You're not going to be thinking about how many zeros you had in your bank account You're going to think about all the experiences you got to have and yes money can facilitate that Actually a lot of experiences have nothing to do with money.

Not really I used to live by the saying Work hard now and live life later I got a bit older a little bit wiser and I actually realized this more like work hard now Live life later, but just remember tomorrow could be your last day So live every day to the fullest Because honestly You don't know when it could be your last day And yeah accumulating money seems all good and it is a good thing.

You can buy things get your property, etc But you need to always be able to live Even if that means spending a little bit more Treating yourself sometimes Having experiences and do things before your time.

So like traveling people always think you have to go to other countries travel to other cities Travel to other parts of your own country Take mini trips to parks and little places And when you want to buy clothes, like don't always think that you have to buy the latest clothes Sometimes your clothes that you have is already good your phone etc Find ways that you can invest your money in better ways And that's what i'm looking at now like how to invest my money into better ways.

I bought my first property, but I'm looking to buy my second property and find other ways that I can Accumulate money because I want to live more.

I don't have to just keep working for the rest of my life It's not I don't believe we were important this air force to just work 40 hours a week and that's it It was the hair to do more So I want to show people and i'll show myself This was like potray cheese and I just I'm bowing i'm bowing guys i'm bowing round of applause.

I mean You you said a lot of or I would say you say similar you said similar things to what I said But you also said a lot of some of the things that I didn't say but I still stand by as well And I agree with i'll just bring up a couple of points that you was talking about actually when you obviously one thing we touched on was talking about financial freedom and Thinking about our time and and thinking about experiences rather than just spending money on spending money in it Um One thing I actually did want to ask you just listening to that as well when you're talking about okay, so Money is is a means in order for you to To then gain the things that you want to gain and obviously you're talking about work hard Live life later sort of thing Um, but you at the same time you said live life to the fullest so it was slightly contradictory because you're thinking okay Well, how does how how does that balance kind of work?

Because obviously for me when I started quite young And I started working and earning money was like again thinking about the end goal thinking about what I wanted And then as you said working hard saving that money, which is what you've done so that you can Benefit from it later at the same time you're working hard to then secure that money to then benefit it Benefit later. What happens if you die the next day?

What was you working hard for? It's mad, isn't it? So I can see why Some people may think and some people live by that to say okay I'm gonna live life to the fullest now. I've made 10 grand today. I'm spending 10 grand tomorrow You know i'm saying with me and you or even kevin may think bro, you're mad Like what's wrong with you?

Because what if you don't die tomorrow and you live for another like two weeks what you're gonna do for the rest of those two Weeks brother ain't got no more money now. Yeah, you understand.

So it's just like how do you How do you now balance that because you're talking about now you're you're accumulating money and investing money and doing this How do you then balance that living life to the fullest but at the same time thinking about Other goals and other things that you want to achieve in life.

So let's take the 10 grand example Some people are um earn 10 grand today spend it tomorrow all of it gone Maybe even more over it. You don't even have it some people Get the 10 grand save it all for later. I'm more in the middle the balance side.

I'm like Get 10 grand save five spend five That's more of it maybe three thousand, you know sometimes get a bit I I when I first started to work I was doing 40 60 hours a week. I did enjoy it was a passion of mine I actually really enjoyed it. Um, but I would not tell you that it wasn't lonely Most of the times were just nighttime. Just typey typey all the time. I'm a developer, but that's basically what I did.

Um And obviously there's times my friends my friends used to go out party and people used to go holidays I used to be my partner and I wasn't going to holidays with them Um, maybe i'll be doing killer hours or maybe my sleep is all over the places and my mood is office stuff There's a lot of negatives to work in a lot and at the same time again We don't know we're young anything could happen at any time.

I could have accumulated a lot of money I could have something could have happened.

So how I see it is everything is balanced yes, you can have an intention to want to grow and Invest your money into certain things that really matter to you later on But at the same time the point of being able to live in the now Is to understand there are certain opportunities that we need to just take as well when they come to us For example, you said that when your family wants to go on holiday or you know, you know what?

This is a time when money is good Money is accumulating. Yes, I could probably save the free grand But actually I could just spend the free time we could just have an experience together because you don't know what's going to happen And that's the more like what I do.

So sometimes i'm looking back at myself and we're still spending the same way very smart way We're not looking at oh we have a hundred pound in the bank. We're going to spend a hundred pound in the bank We say no what we have a hundred pound in the bank We're going to make another two hundred then we're going to spend a hundred and then we're going to live our life.

So Everything for me is balanced and that's for the rest of our life. All of our life is balanced You can you can't have too much good can't have too much bad can't work too hard. You can't play too hard And that's how I try to balance it out.

Sometimes we're off sometimes we're not so that's what I try to find out And that's that's what i've got is a bit of balance between the two Um, yeah, that's basically to explain it Okay, what would you say to someone that okay? We're talking about money isn't everything.

Yeah Obviously we've we've already kind of established or agreed that money is at all and we we we kind of need to then help Finance the things that we do consider to be valuable, but what would you say to someone? Okay, that doesn't have no money and they still live in life. They have those experiences.

They still they value other things How would you say to someone like that that just doesn't have a job is homeless or whatever, but they're still living their life How would you what do you think about that? How are they living their life if they have no money? Think about okay someone like I don't know someone that doesn't own any like a monk. For example, someone that just lives spiritually They don't earn money.

They're not doing a job. They just they live for god they Do you understand? They're not they're not working. They're not earning any money. Maybe not but they're happy with their life Maybe not in london. Maybe yeah. Yeah, of course It's a bit chilly these days Even never have to collect money a day, but do you see what i'm saying live off the land stuff like that.

Yeah I think I think again is is the understanding of what you constitute to be money, right obviously in this uk or london, um What we see money as is notes pounds dollars but if they're going to give the scenario of someone like a monk and he's going to live off of his his Call it maybe land in that respect, right? They must have to have some form of exchange.

It might not be physical um Cash in that respect but for him to live a a more tranquil life You know of where he don't have to worry about any cares of the world in that respect um There must be something that's actually given him some form of an exchange There needs to be a trade that there must be some form of a trade Is what i'm thinking on so if he's living in the mountains and He's a buddhist in that respect And all he cares about is praying to god, etc How is he living because the day-to-day life is food and water in that respect.

How are you getting it?

Do you see yes, he might then um, there's nature around him in that respect But for me the way how I see it is there's that form of a trade in that respect still so The the trees or the fruits from the trees or the water from the river in that respect is still giving you that form of um Trade in that if that makes sense You get what i'm saying, yeah Like what you're saying is basically even if we don't have right now We have the trade of money for produce and stuff, but actually But we work for that money.

So actually we trade our time to make to get the money Then the money goes to buy the produce But actually he's just trading he just cuts out the money part and he just has to trade his time for So really and truly what we just from that conversation and what we really are talking about is not Money necessarily because as we said money is a tool but it's really realistically it's time Time is money Exactly what you're investing your time into right which goes for everything right exactly So, I mean if you're going to say in order for a person to want to be successful again using an example of someone being Um a monk right and In order for him to be successful at what he does time like we've ascertained plus consistency for me Equal success in that respect.

That's how I would then see it So over a certain period of time, yes depend on whatever you invest yourself in So i'm going to stay on the subject of this particular monk. Yes, he spent time You know, you know praying and giving reference to god in that respect and then consistency is in that Do you see what i'm saying to where he then ended up becoming successful at it?

Go on this is a key part there So the important thing for him is putting time into god or praying, but I don't know much about monks really so Let's think more about time So actually the most important thing to us was time spent with things that were most important to us So such as our family friends and our loved ones and making experiences now the reason why at the end of my My recording I talked about why I don't believe a nine to five or work in 40 hours Is the right way to spend it is because we're using our time to just make money Yeah, but I believe we should be using our time to go more directly to the source of what we really care about Which is the experiences so actually the whole system of money and nine to five and the things that we believe that we're supposed To be doing for the rest of our lives Like work what we work for like 50 60 years and we didn't were free for like 10 years and then we die Who tried who said that was a good life To me i'm trying to remove that and give us more time to do the things that we really care about So it's interesting that we actually went to the monk who actually took away a lot of systems because he has no systems running It's just his way of what he has just has to live and pray But then when we get back to our life, we say, okay.

Well, how is ours different?

Yes, we'll build loads of systems which makes it seem like all western cultures more Evolved but actually we are taking ourselves away from the things that actually make us more fulfilled And enjoy the most and bring us alive because we haven't not once said that money is what brought us alive We just said that once we have the money sorted out and we get to go to a certain place with it Then boom we just get to have the experience with whoever we were around but yeah, go on get back No, no, I think that's I guess that's where I'm sure you agree That's where being financially free comes into play because you no longer want to have to trade your time for the money As you said you just want to have that time go into the source of what you value the most You want money to be an exclusion from that you don't even want to have to think about money anymore So that's where we're thinking about finance being financially free How do we then get to that stage where money is no longer an issue and we can realistically focus on trading our time For the things which we value most I'm gonna i'm pointing at kev because I know how i'm trying to do it and but I think kev will be a perfect one to get his time No, but it'd be good to kind of get your idea and so I'll give i'll give one at least.

Yeah, so my one way is through property investment So that's what I really believe in. I bought my first property so I can live in but i'm i'm looking into investing into more property um, hopefully in st.

Lucia god willing where obviously you buy a property you um Rent it out to people that are travelers or whatever it is and then you basically accumulate money and the property just works for itself You don't know money's doing it for itself.

You don't have to do anything for it You have to get if you if you keyed over in bed if you wake up if you don't wake up all these kind of things Money still going that's what I want to be able to happen And if you accumulate enough property and you cover your expenses of of how it is to live Then technically you don't have to work. You just have to do a few hours here and there to manage the property.

That's my one Oh simon you can oh simon, okay, whichever one Um, it's a very good question.

Um, I would say because again it's it's it's understanding that some um financial principle Um, and again, it's more the case of of of how we're going to accumulate that particular income in order for us to then in fact, how are we going to um In order for us to enable for us to then have this particular freedom that we're looking for money's required, right?

Now your question would be then the case of how are we going to then acquire that for me? The way how I see it is understanding the the the money's a game And once you understand the money game you would understand the entire thing that surrounds it would be the dublin period of it in that respect So you've used the example craig of of properties.

That's one way is in terms of how you could then um, um generate income, you know on a long-term basis and again like we've we've mentioned time and consistency, so Over time using the purely example of a property I would say give it 10 years for whatever you initially invested into that particular property Then at least you know, whatever you invested of maybe let's say hypothetically 10 000 would now be 20 000 So again following that same key principle over a certain period of time So let's say you give you and that is your end goal.

Your end goal would say maybe 20 30 years.

I want to be Financially free where I don't have to think about any form of the cares in the world And all I just want to do is spend time with my family again It would still require the foundation level is for you to then still have some form of income to then Have that level of freedom and stability and whatever you want to call it in that respect Um, and ultimately what it boils down to for me is is is knowing the the the financial gain Knowing how to have money doubling for you in that respect Which would then lead to me having income for the future And I guess that comes Right back to the beginning of my voice.

No, we're not talking about education as well is the thing is with that as you and and obviously we can talk about this forever, but just to kind of Kind of shorten it down a little bit is as you said you talked about In making an investment thinking about how long it's going to take It could take 10 years It could take 20 years for you to get to that stage where you're then financially free I think it's important that it's educated earlier because the sooner you start doing that The the better is going to pay off for you later on down the line If I start investing in something where i'm I don't know thinking about property and I want to invest for the next 20 years If I do that at 50 like you understand by the time i'm living off of that i'm an old man Yeah, was if you start investing in that and you're educated on that quite early Whether it's in school where we're not always taught a lot of those things If we learn about those things when we're teenagers by the time we hit 20 and we're hitting those investments rather we could be retired by like 30 40 you get me So I think it's important that that education comes through as well.

Yeah.

Yeah, that's that's a keeper and as as we said we can probably go on for forever, but we wanted to kind of get the initial factor of Um What is it that what does money even mean to us in the first place before we actually really get into how do we Actually start to free ourselves from it and gain more of what we actually care about which is time with people we care about um, I guess like If I stand back to the topic that you guys mentioned is that whole mindset and is having people to have an appreciation Of money and majority of people don't appreciate Money to the level that it should be you you've made mention of before in the past where you would live life to the fullest or You would buy Certain things just for your own gratification in that respect, but if you could appreciate money and saying, okay, no problem I'm not saying that I can't live life now.

I am but let me appreciate it and then apply certain Principles that would allow me that what happens in the next, you know Like you've given an example earlier in the next five years if I don't have that particular money How am I going to then sustain myself moving forward? So yeah So we want to hear about what you think about money. What does it mean to you? Um, what does time mean to you? I don't know.

What do you think you was put on this earth to do in a sense? Um for us to kind of give you we always love to give you a bit of food for thought So I think a great way for us to do that is if anybody is on the same mindset of how do we um kind of Find ways to gain more money or even invest it or ways that can work for us.

We'll give you a few tips The couple that I'm thinking of for myself is obviously you can obviously try to get yourself Valued as high as possible making sure you get promoted. You are looking for salary reviews in your job, etc changing your job entirely Um, also doing your side hustle.

I used to do personal websites as well as working as well So that's like some personal things as well and obviously the other part is Property, which is the one I mentioned. I'm yet to have a property where i'm renting but that's the next thing i'm working on What what kind of tips you got?

I mean you've said it all I mean ultimately is it boils down For me it's it's fine whatever you do find the ability to increase your ability Sorry to to to earn more because that's where it boils down to um and Once you you have in place, you know the foundation which is the risk management Then you move up to the next stage, which is budgeting ensuring that you you you are not overspending Um on certain things that is not needed and then in terms of if there's any form of debt Then you you try and see your whole aim is to eliminate that because having debt in that respect would then be One of the biggest hindrance to whatever you're trying to achieve in the next five ten years in that respect And then like we've touched base on is again investing in in in finding avenues in terms of investment So that could be properties that could be stock market again majority of people are fearful of of of of of investing into stock market purely based on Um lack of knowledge and like you rightfully said is the education So once people have that education on it, if you want to learn a bit more then you know what just hit us up Give you guys a bit of And then for me ultimately is whatever you do if you have the strength just find the ability for you to then Opportunity to then earn a bit more don't care.

Whatever the case may be if it means for you to set up your own business Um increase more over time, but not to overexert yourself in that respect But you want to make sure that whatever you're doing is equaling to the amount that you're actually bringing in in that respect.

So Yeah Cool, I guess my obviously these guys are taking all the points already, but I guess no from me a final thing that I guess I would like people to take away is that Understanding you don't have it's not it's about sacrifice for one It's about making those sacrifices to know what your goals and your ambitions are and how you're going to get to that But at the same time I would I would say Don't chase the money What you're chasing is realistically Your time you want more time back for yourself You shouldn't be working like stupid amount of hours every single day trying to get that money in your pocket Realistically what you should be chasing is how do I get my time back?

How do I then make those sacrifices where i'm earning money, but I still have Plenty of time on my hand so that I can experience those things and do the things that are of value to me I think that's the most important thing don't chase the money Chase your time Yeah, I like that you actually finished on that because funny enough this whole thing this whole podcast was about money And we actually ended up coming back to actually what was really important was time So just remember that guys don't kill yourself for work work is always going to be there But you're not always you only have one body one life to live.

So enjoy it to the fullest As usual, thank you for listening to us. We'll really appreciate it. This Topic is actually a long one. So There's actually a lot more that we can talk about in the future in the store There will be a lot more that we give to you, but please do Give us your feedback as to what do you think of the podcast? What do you think about money if you completely think the opposite to us as well?
