A short introduction to how the podcast is made. They record their own thoughts first, then play them to the group. It is a conversation format, not therapy.

What the recording covers

  • Simon and Craig say men often find feelings hard to talk about, and that this show is a place for those discussions without judgement.
  • They describe the twist: make a recording of what is on your mind before you are open with other people.
  • They say the show is there to listen as well as talk, and that the subjects come from the mindset of men.

Questions to sit with after you listen

  1. What would you say if you had to tell yourself the truth before you told anyone else?
  2. Which subject have you been parking because it is easier to say you are fine?

What's going on people?

My name is Simon aka SJ and my name is Craig also known as Mr Positive and Thank you so much for tuning into our podcast talking to my thoughts now Let's be honest as men we find it very difficult to talk about our feelings and our emotions We create this podcast as a platform to have honest Discussions about specific topics and issues that are affecting us without judgment, but this podcast has an interesting twist We believe it's important that you are first open with yourself Before you can be open with others.

This is where the concept talking to my thoughts comes into play Now we make pre recordings of our inner thoughts and then play those thoughts to the group So that we can have an open discussion about what's really on our minds Now this not only helps produce a unique moment of vulnerability But also produces some insight into the mindset of men today At the end of each session, we will wrap up with some questions from our listeners and final thoughts So please do get involved and help empower the next generation through open honest and refreshing conversations about cultural and social topics Now you can follow us on our socials at talking to my thoughts and stay tuned for what's coming next because you're definitely gonna enjoy This is talking to my thoughts You've in or you're out, you know, no one comes to you says you better step up now Well, how do you feel about that?

No one does there's no such thing as being ready, you know You think you're ready, but you're not sometimes when you believe something about yourself so much Others around you and others can start to believe it too There's been times in my relationships that I'm actually this raising their voices and then you're actually just thinking I might actually a dickhead Right now when you are able to articulate yourself as an ethnic minority We've all had the time, oh you speak quite why I Don't know what it is with black men.

We've got this brofado about showing love being taught how to be a man Well often it's not actually Like a verbal teaching a lot of the time if you being taught by what you see So I know about losses, but I didn't know like a friend could just just go you think of like back Then I used to think only people of a certain age can die Well, yeah, you can go around and say yeah, I've got this girl she was easy But what if the girls turn around to her girls and said I've got that man You would have to do is shake my ass and I've got him breath so she's saying the same thing about you but actually who told you that there's things that you see the most of social media is the right way to live and When you can see that that maybe isn't the right way.

Are you still protect prestige? Are you still perceive that way and that changes everything?
